Delete your BareCal account and data
BareCal: Calorie & Macro Tracker, by BareCal
BareCal works without an account. You only have an account if you used Continue with Google to save your data. Either way, you can delete everything.
Option 1: in the app (fastest)
- Open BareCal and sign in with the Google account you want to delete, if you aren't signed in.
- Tap Profile (top right on Today).
- Under Your data, tap Delete all data, then Delete everything twice to confirm. You can export a copy first.
This deletes everything on the phone, the copy saved to your account, and your sign-in.
Option 2: without the app
Email support@barecal.app from the Google account email address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my BareCal account. You don't need to reinstall the app.
I'll confirm the request and complete it within 30 days, then reply to let you know it's done.
What is deleted
- The copy of your data saved to your account: food logs, custom foods, recipes, saved and planned meals, weight, water, goals and goal history, profile details, diet phases, check-ins, training days and settings, plus the phone model and app version saved with it
- Your sign-in record (name, email address and user ID) in Firebase Authentication
- Feedback or support emails, if you ask
What may be kept
- Data on your phone stays until you use Option 1 or uninstall the app.
- Android backups in your Google account follow your phone's backup settings. Delete them in Google Drive → Storage → Backups.
- Google may keep encrypted system backups for a limited time before they are overwritten, under its Firebase data processing terms.
- Foods you shared with Open Food Facts or the BareCal community stay public; they contain no information about you.
- BareCal Plus purchase records are kept by Google Play, and order details only as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Have a subscription? Deleting your data doesn't cancel it. Cancel in the Play Store: Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
